Fishing Report - 05/03/15

Couples of rain and flat seas welcomed this week's anglers fishing with Pesca Panama. With excited anticipation we departed on another week adventure to Coiba. Joining us Pesca Panama was returning from England; Michael Northcott his wife Tracey Lorraine Northcott, Mark Nightingale and his wife Anne Lorraine Nightingale.  From Canada and first time with us Michel and Le Ann Sylvestre. Also the fishermen; Michael Schwartz and Jeffrey Johnson.

The week started off a bit on the slow offshore, but as always, the offshore fishing crew can find great action inshore. The Sylvestre crew fishing with Jonathan found wide open top water fishing for extra large; horse eye jack,  amberjack and african pampano on the first day out. Although not red hot, the offshore fishing improved as the week progressed. Northcott crew was happy to have hooked up seventeen yellowfin tuna, three jack crevalle and one cubera snapper on the second day. Yellowfin went crazy out of the gate, but Sylvestre crew put twenty three on the fight line and released a giant cubera snapper. Michael and Jeffrey excited and tired hooked up another sixteen yellowfin. Miss Anne Lorraine hooked up her first Roosterfish and first cubera snapper and was happy and excited. Michael and Jeffrey pieced together a good week of fishing with a combination of inshore action and fly fishing. These guys fish hard and found good action every day; yellowfin, cubera snapper, yellow snapper, and more. We found the tuna bite again and everyone had spectacular action. I can't forget the five hundred pound bull shark that Jeffrey Johnson hooked and released. The Northcott crew came to Panama loaded with a pile of great tackle and gear.

It was a week full of laughs, stories, and fun anglers. The Coiba Island area once again produced a week full of great fishing fun and lifetime memories. Thank you hard fishing and good people. We look forward to fishing with you again.
